General condition and any additional information

1990 Beneteau Moorings 38 designed by Jean Berret, hull designer, (note that the 38M uses the same “first” racing hull of the Beneteau 38S5), and Philippe Starck, marine architect, who is responsible for the richly appointed teak art deco interior. The hull was cast and fitted with French manufactured interiors and fittings in the US.

Two (2) anchors in her divided, deep bow locker, either of which can be deployed independently; these include a

35 lb CQR with 50’ of chain and 200’ of ¾” nylon rode, and a
35 lb Bruce (plough) with 50’ of chain and 200’ of ¾” nylon rode
A Lewmar Sprint 1000 vertical electric windlass with gypsy assists recovery of anchors and rodes.

The galley is ample with handy storage and marble work surface. A (LP) propane 2 burner range with oven and double sinks makes gourmet on the water easy. Deep SEAFROST (engine driven) freezer and refrigerator compartments have capacity for extended cruising. Pressurized hot (motor and 120VAC heated) and cold water is available for cooking and bathing.


Boat as been stored for the winter under a custom winter cover and frame (Quinte Canvas, new Dec 2009). She rests comfortably on her keel supported by seven (7) adjustable, freestanding stands and chains. The deck-stepped mast has been removed and inspected annually; the running rigging has been taken off, cleaned and dry stored every year as well.
